Located in Deerhead Nature Preserve near Smith Mountain Lake and the rolling foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains of Virginia, ONE Forest School is ready to immerse learners in the forest and the natural world, creating a sensory rich and developmentally appropriate learning environment for all ages.
ONE Forest School staff members are passionate about their work and about educating the broader community about our school’s philosophy and goals.
My boys have a blast every time they spend the day here! It is a unique and memorable experience. They usually come home with a craft that originated from something they found in the woods that day. Catherine is very caring, and knowledgeable about the forest. Highly recommend!
